Biography

I’m Matthew Koppelman, CFP®, WMCP®, the Co-Founder and Financial Planner at Precision Wealth Planners. I’m passionate about creating financial planning experiences that help my clients feel understood, supported, and empowered. While I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, many of my clients are executive-level women who balance demanding careers with personal and family responsibilities.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, my role is to provide clear, fiduciary guidance across investments, retirement, tax strategy, insurance, and estate planning. When we work together, my goal is to help you feel confident and in control of your financial future. I know that managing finances can sometimes feel overwhelming or impersonal, so I make it a priority to create an approachable and collaborative process. I believe financial planning should simplify your life, not complicate it.

Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, I grew up in Atlanta, GA, and have been in the Washington, DC area for nearly two decades. My wife Monica and I live in Georgetown with our daughter Charlotte and our two dogs, Kevin and Jerry.

Community involvement is an important part of my life. I participate in annual fundraising efforts for N Street Village and Run Hope Work, and I serve as a Pro-Bono Financial Planner with the Foundation for Financial Planning and Wings for Widows, providing financial coaching to individuals and families in underserved socioeconomic communities.

At Precision Wealth Planners, we’re dedicated to aligning your financial strategies with your values and goals. Whether that means planning for retirement, navigating equity compensation, or making a difference through charitable giving, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
